JOB SEEKING AND HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

This course is eligible for the Erasmus+ funding programme

The course will first introduce the basics of job-searching, including preparing an engaging and effective CV as well as cover and reference letters. Then it will show the different ways to look for jobs including online and offline (career fairs, job meetings, tests, etc.). Thereafter, they will have the chance to improve their interview techniques through both theoretical education and practical activities. During these activities, the attendees will learn how to get rid of stress and control their behaviour and movements, as well as how to answer the most frequent and trickiest questions. In the last session participants will be taught a few golden rules about working in an office, and the importance of using social media in looking for a job (as well as why it is pivotal to have a well-polished image of ourselves online).

Target Group – Anyone working the labour market and human resource field, teachers, social workers, managers.

Objectives – The main objective of the course is to help the participants in understanding how job applications work at any given level, so that they can use this knowledge to improve their skills at application writing, promoting themselves via social media, prepare for job interviews through simulations, etc. Besides this, participants will also be provided with insight into how to smoothly and quickly get integrated into coherent groups and get along easily with new colleagues. The course can not only help workers and job seekers, but also Human Resources staff and anyone working in similar areas.

The course can not only help workers and job seekers, but also Human Resources staff and anyone working in similar areas.

Training Outcomes – At the end of the training, attendees are expected to have a very thorough understanding of how a job application works from the moment the CV and cover letter is sent, to the process of integration into a new working environment. Through these new insights, participants will be completely comfortable throughout the whole process, which does not only mean that they have the answers to all potential “tricky questions” but also that they will be more relaxed and confident during the interviews, which can significantly improve their chances of eventually getting the job they want. The techniques they learn during the course will help them throughout their careers and will potentially prove one of the most important investments in their life.
